One of my brightest and sensitive students' message to the society

A message for Humanity  Dear humans, I am Rape. I am sure that you must have heard my name. My popularity can be easily observed in your society. Everyday I am starred in newspapers, T.V channels, and social media posts due to my ever increasing rate of succession. Some of you might think that I am not present in your locality or neighbourhood but one day I will surprise you with my magical appearance.  I have very deep roots within the human moral cognition and every rape incident creates a weakening effect on humanity. You must know that there are reasons for my confrontation with you and to talk about your humanity. It was a long overdue. I survive with human race from the dawn of your civilization but I have never felt this powerful ever as the present scenario. You may blame various external factors for increase in the rape incidents but I know that my power source lies within the defect of your human morality and lack of conduct of humanity. You just satisfy yours...

Let's delve deep

Rape is not a new evil to our society. But the acute issue with this evil is we are still unable to find its solution. Rape is a metaphor and is not just limited to sexual harassment. Whether the society is of rural area or of urban area, children, either girls or boys are vulnerable to atrocities and manipulation of hypocrite minds.  Children easily repose faith in others. They don’t doubt much. Similarly, there are people, especially from rural background, who are of giving nature and tend to think everyone alike, are prone to (mis)judge the tactics of a shrewd mind. Here, comes the violation of humanity, the maltreatment of emotions, the plunder of faith, and the death of life. Rape is not just limited to body, it passes venom to the mind that paralyses the whole system of thinking. Young boys and many simple minded men are also prone to rapes and domestic violence but no one notices them too.   A person who is a parent, grandparent, mentor or a guide when invests so ...

Nissim Ezekiel's poems "Philosophy' and 'Background Casually'

The poem ‘Philosophy’ by Nissim Ezekiel talks about Philosophy and Poetry. The poet is of the view that Philosophy and science have certain limitations. They fail beyond a certain limit and it is the poetry that takes over these two disciplines. The poem has four stanzas having five lines each. The rhyme scheme of the poem is AABBA. The poet says that there is a place to which he often goes. He never plans to go but is driven by the flow of his thoughts and imaginations that take him there. The place described is not another city or world but the poet’s own imaginations. He goes away from all existence i.e. the world and worldly things to a place which is quite clear and without the warmth of human emotions and feelings. The will of the flow of thoughts is uncontrolled i.e. the poet cannot control it but has to go by it. In the last line, the poet talks about mills of God which are never slow. In literary terms, God means the ...

For  he has sleepless night, Callous circumstances  have made him fight.  The Heart of the child is very pure, Almighty would help him it's sure. His eyes are full of tears, Having so many problems  he still bears. Simran,202620 Far away from cosmos,    Hopes only for marvelous. None can feel he has gone through, Still desires the better grow.   After being alienated,   He can’t leave of his petition. The level of trust while howling, Only one can hunch his feeling.  Manju, 202608 This baby's eyes show moisture, We are full of pain but there is a hope, A hope, support is the only one with whom he can share his pain, he knows that he has no one in this world the...

An emotive poem

Image
The pain he has suffered, at the age, so tender. He's all on his own, walking on a path that's unknown. Oblivious of his whereabouts, all alone, he's out trembling with fear, with nobody near. With watery eyes and bruises that need ice, he's sad, facing a world so rude with a destiny that seems doomed. With nobody around, still wearing the hope's crown, his eyes with uprising fire full of potential and desire to beat all the odds  and fight this world full of frauds. Mentally and physically untidy, still he looks up to almighty. The strength his eyes embrace, with God's blessing and grace. From: Anjali, 202603

The Idea of Freedom

Image
Being free does not mean forgetting your instructions. It is good for a bird to be free, but what is necessary is a break, given by God in the form of its physical capacity. It reminds the bird at the last stage of every flight that the most beautiful occupation of God's deeds is the force that binds the bird to its soil and all. The force given to that bird is not its restriction but   important for the bird to remember that it is only right for him to fly so high that flying higher than that can endanger its life. The same subject can be understood in a simple way even in human life. For example, the flight time of a bird is not a negative subject. Similarly, many subjects of human life are not negative. It is not forbidden for our parents to say many things over and over again. It is not forbidden to be punished for any crime. It is not forbidden to follow any religion. It is not forbidden for any teacher to assess marks. In the same way there are many topics related ...

Greek and Roman Mythologies

Ashwin, Roll No. 202554, a student of B.A.English Honours 1st sem, prepared this comprehensive and brilliant project work    Greek Mythology Greek Mythology is a broad genre which was influenced by Ancient Greek Folklore consisting of oral narratives in the form of ghost stories and urban legends which later on were propagated widely through their widespread use in Ancient Greek Literature. Homer’s epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey and his contemporary Hesiod’s Theogony were one of the initial literary works which contained accounts of conflicts between Greeks and their rivals or in the case of Odysseus, his never ending voyage following the Trojan War which consists of various references to Greek gods such as Athena, Poseidon and Zeus. Moreover Hesiod’s Theogony describes the origins and genealogies of the Greek gods and his Works and Days describe the creation of man. Apart from this, presence of archaeological evidence in the form of paintings, artifacts a...
