 A message for Humanity  Dear humans, I am Rape. I am sure that you must have heard my name. My popularity can be easily observed in your society. Everyday I am starred in newspapers, T.V channels, and social media posts due to my ever increasing rate of succession. Some of you might think that I am not present in your locality or neighbourhood but one day I will surprise you with my magical appearance.  I have very deep roots within the human moral cognition and every rape incident creates a weakening effect on humanity. You must know that there are reasons for my confrontation with you and to talk about your humanity. It was a long overdue. I survive with human race from the dawn of your civilization but I have never felt this powerful ever as the present scenario. You may blame various external factors for increase in the rape incidents but I know that my power source lies within the defect of your human morality and lack of conduct of humanity. You just satisfy yourselves by blami

 Rape is not a new evil to our society. But the acute issue with this evil is we are still unable to find its solution. Rape is a metaphor and is not just limited to sexual harassment. Whether the society is of rural area or of urban area, children, either girls or boys are vulnerable to atrocities and manipulation of hypocrite minds.  Children easily repose faith in others. They don’t doubt much. Similarly, there are people, especially from rural background, who are of giving nature and tend to think everyone alike, are prone to (mis)judge the tactics of a shrewd mind. Here, comes the violation of humanity, the maltreatment of emotions, the plunder of faith, and the death of life. Rape is not just limited to body, it passes venom to the mind that paralyses the whole system of thinking. Young boys and many simple minded men are also prone to rapes and domestic violence but no one notices them too.   A person who is a parent, grandparent, mentor or a guide when invests so many emotions

  The poem ‘Philosophy’ by Nissim Ezekiel talks about Philosophy and Poetry. The poet is of the view that Philosophy and science have certain limitations. They fail beyond a certain limit and it is the poetry that takes over these two disciplines. The poem has four stanzas having five lines each. The rhyme scheme of the poem is AABBA. The poet says that there is a place to which he often goes. He never plans to go but is driven by the flow of his thoughts and imaginations that take him there. The place described is not another city or world but the poet’s own imaginations. He goes away from all existence i.e. the world and worldly things to a place which is quite clear and without the warmth of human emotions and feelings. The will of the flow of thoughts is uncontrolled i.e. the poet cannot control it but has to go by it. In the last line, the poet talks about mills of God which are never slow. In literary terms, God means the creator. In thoughts, the mind is the creator of produ
