Musings on Love

The trance of attachment
the reverie of unsaid emotions
the flights of fantasy
all ensue in the inner landscapes
with the detachment of the exterior
on a mind trip of the interior
ruminating about all the fragrant joys of presence

The exchange of silence
is more soothing
than the cool breeze outside
The reception of understanding
is more heavenly
than the divine threads tied

The ballad of jubilant hearts
touches the note of
contentment and serenity
making their love
a true illustration of amenity

The amenities of smoothness,
pleasantness and convenience
lead the journey of lovers
to the destination of ultimate relationship
guiding and complementing each other

  1. The poem,if put to simple, plainspeak diction wil serve as a beautiful lyre,to be dressed in music
The last word "Amenity" is mindboggling.Ouught to be taken as Amity?

  2. Last sentence could be "each other's"
in order to make it more euphonic. That open-ended would have left the reader to make out if each other's connotes Heart or Mind.
As every reader's curiosity would guage the meaning of the phrase-to the milestone of ultimate relationship,I too am curious to know what the poetess meant by "the milestone of ultimate relationship"?

    2. Well duddy
Last stanza refers to lovers so there is no ambiguity
Each other is used for lovers
Ultimate relationship is the one that is the best where the lovers can guide and complement each other and milestone I already explained in another reply

  3. Yes Sikander, there is.
    Lovers are on the journey.
One encounters many milestones during one's journey.
In the journey of life, there are milestones of true relationships but only a few encounter these.
